In the Head of Marketing role, you will be accountable for the marketing strategy and processes, including market research. You will be responsible for brand management, generating approaches and leads to feed the Sales process as well as internal communications. You will lead the marketing team, motivating and supporting them to execute the marketing processes.

Location: Reigate office, travel to other locations and customer sites as needed 
Salary: Competitive 
Contract: Hybrid, Full-time 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week around core hours of 10:00-16:00

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure delivery of Sonin Marketing strategy and plan within budget.
  • Works with Sales team to create aligned sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Report on progress and provides data to aid decision making.
  • Accountable for the Marketing Process including setting and achieving score card deliverables.
  • Accountable for lead generation and conducting campaigns using a range of media.
  • Designs, develops and implements the Sonin brand identity and communicates to internal areas to ensure consistency and appropriate usage of branding.
  • Lead the process for market research. Ensures delivery of objective information to inform and measures initiatives to increase market presence and sales.
  • Arranges internal and external events for employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Represents Sonin in client and professional meetings as required.
  • Manages Marketing budget and all cost drivers to ensure the most productive and cost-effective marketing campaigns. 
  • Responsible for producing all internal communications material and creating a strategy for employee engagement in the business plans.
  • Is the coach and guide for more junior team members and colleagues.
  • Produces the company annual report and other formal documentation.
  • Responsible for recruitment and all aspects of leadership and management of the team working on Marketing activities.

  • Strong leadership of Marketing strategy, planning and implementation of activities.
  • Expertise in marketing techniques and proven ability to deliver creative new ideas and solutions to the team.
  • Ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong marketing background with knowledge of all relevant aspects of marketing a growing business.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a critical thinker.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.


  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working in a tech related business in a busy Marketing role, experience managing resources and budgets
