After securing a bronze medal for uMAXit Football in 2016, Sonin were going for gold honours at The 2017 Surrey Digital Awards! After seeing both SMART SAA and Forfeit Football shortlisted in the Mobile App category, it was the latter that prevailed on an evening celebrating the finest use of digital technology in the Surrey county.
Forfeit Football is a brand new concept in the flourishing sports gaming industry. A modern day take on the traditional pound-in-a-jar game played in our pubs and sports clubs. The iOS app unites friends and family through their mobiles to enjoy the beautiful game wherever they are, with a nerve-racking twist. Combining real-time match feeds, instant messaging and the opportunity to share the football banter with your friends. Forfeit Football pushes the boundaries of traditional gaming apps, and provides the ultimate user experience.
Winners on the evening were selected by a judging panel of experts in the digital media and entertainment community. Including Robin Baily (BBC) and Tim Brown (Sky Sports), amongst other well-established individuals. Forfeit Football was praised by the judges for its unique concept, immersive user experience and intriguing design.
