We’re currently looking for an ambitious Marketing Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the world of mobile and emerging technology and understand the power of B2B marketing.

Adding to this, he or she must understand how such technology can provide business solutions to companies’ brands regardless of their industry.

The Role

This is a permanent role for a Marketing Assistant, working under the direction of a Marketing Manager to deliver key marketing initiatives. You will also work alongside the sales team to create written proposals for new projects when required. This is a varied role with exposure to various projects that include social media, web, PR and sales. You will be responsible for the creation of content, utilising social media to promote Sonin and engage key influencers.

You must be hard working and creative, a strong team player with a desire to learn new skills. You should enjoy keeping up to date with new technologies and be able to understand their use in the real world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new and develop existing web content for our website, through development of a content plan
  • Create written content to publish on external sites
  • Management of social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Assisting the sales team with proposal writing
  • Plan, curate and send a bi-weekly newsletter to our database
  • Apply for relevant industry awards to boost the profile of the business
  • Liaise with PR contacts and publications
  • Various ad hoc tasks as required
  • Monitoring and evaluating the results of your marketing activity
  • Monthly reporting on marketing activity and achievements

Required Skills

  • Completion of a relevant degree or previous experience in a marketing role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Organisation and time management
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of using WordPress
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Passionate about technology
  • Use of Google Analytics
  • Skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator are a bonus
